STAHS Students visited the Next-Gen Reality Showcase at Seven Generations Education Institute on March 26th.

It was an opportunity for everyone to learn about the tools that Seven Generations Education Institute has available for their students and instructors. Students were able to learn about AR and VR from award-winning author, professional speaker, STEM and STEAM education futurist, certified K-12 STEM teacher, and social entrepreneur Curtis Carmichael, take some time to learn about their upcoming programs, explore the campus, and more.

It was an impactful field trip for the students, as some of the students said the most interesting stations were the electronic table, simulators, and cadaver.

“I think that AR and VR help students learning to help them have a full 3D view on whatever their learning about. AR and VR allows you to have a more tactile feel on what they are working on and a more amusing learning experience.” said Jade, a grade 8 student at STAHS. “I never really thought of the ability to be a forensics expert, but it is something that could be possible.”
