The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Swimming Championships returned to Windsor in 2026, bringing together the fastest high-school swimmers from across Ontario for two days of provincial championship racing (March 3–4). Hosted at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre the meet featured approximately 2,300–2,500 swimmers from more than 350 high schools, making it one of the largest school sport swimming events in Canada.
Six swimmers from the TA Saints represented their school on the provincial stage: Kinley Milloy, Liam Serino, Liam Cox, Stavros Straight, Josh Benson, and veteran Tazio Mastromatteo. Competing against the best high-school swimmers in the province, the group delivered an impressive performance marked by personal breakthroughs, strong relay results, and championship podium finishes.
Leading the charge was Mastromatteo, who captured two gold medals and set a new OFSAA record, capping an outstanding championship performance and providing leadership for the younger Saints competing in their first OFSAA meet.
The rest of the TA squad rose to the challenge of the deep provincial field. Liam Serino delivered a standout swim in the 100 breaststroke, finishing 14th overall, and also placed 25th in the 50 freestyle. Josh Benson powered his way into the A final of the 100 butterfly, ultimately finishing 10th in Ontario.
Relay performances were another highlight for the Saints. The medley relay team of Tazio Mastromatteo, Liam Serino, Josh Benson, and Stavros Straight combined for a strong race to place 13th overall in the province. The team followed up with another 13th-place finish in the freestyle relay, with Liam Cox stepping in for Mastromatteo to complete the lineup.
For several swimmers including Kinley Milloy, Liam Cox, and Stavros Straight, the championships marked their first OFSAA experience. Despite the nerves that come with competing at Ontario’s largest high-school swimming event, all three delivered strong individual performances and gained valuable provincial-level racing experience.
Together, the TA Saints demonstrated depth, resilience, and team spirit at the 2026 OFSAA Championships, highlighted by record-setting swims, finals appearances, and strong relay results against the best school swimmers in Ontario.
