Students Attend Model UN Assembly in Winnipeg

This is the image for the news article titled Students Attend Model UN Assembly in Winnipeg This past weekend, six STAHS students attended the Model United Nations Assembly in Winnipeg. The three day event hosted students from all over Canada and parts of the United States.

Our teams represented Iran, Costa Rica, and Bangladesh and proposed resolutions pertaining to green technologies and artificial intelligence.

Our Costa Rican team, consisting of Hayden Price and Jesse Peterson took home an honourable mention for the most diplomatic delegation.

This is a considerable accolade as it was Jesse and Hayden's first year at MUNA.

Model United Nations (MUN), often referred to as Model UN, is an educational model of the United Nations used for simulations in which students learn about diplomacy and international relations. It’s a popular extracurricular activity that encourages students to engage in hands-on learning related to global affairs.
