STAHS welcomed Vic Moss the owner/operator of Mosswood Adventures and Rentals to host a Lunch & Learn with students interested in Entrepreneurship. Mosswood Adventures is an eco-tourism business offering hourly outdoor leisure rental items and bookings for private, corporate or community events in Kenora and surrounding areas.

As Vic talked about her journey into entrepreneurship, she covered how she obtained several grants to get her business up and running, struggles and obstacles that have caused roadblocks along the way, and how she has had to diversify her business plans to accommodate different seasonal clients, services, and products.

She shared how she was able harness things in her life that she was passionate about, found a gap in the market and created this business into something she loves and emphasized how it is so important that you love what you do.
Her genuine presence and engaging presentation were well received by the students and the Subway lunch was a nice bonus too.🙌

The students presented Vic with a KCDSB bag for taking time out of her busy schedule to share her knowledge with them.

Organized by Mrs. Barclay and Ms. Melenchenko, they plan to continue hosting more Lunch & Learn events in the future.
