Hands-On with the Trades!
Our Grade 7 students rolled up their sleeves yesterday morning for an exciting day of hands-on learning, exploring the world of skilled trades through a series of engaging activities as part of an OYAP (Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program) event.
🏗 Framing with Chase Creed – Chase, an Operations & Maintenance Worker with KCDSB, guided students in building wooden structures designed to withstand weight and impact, teaching them the basics of construction and structural integrity.

It was an incredible opportunity for students to learn practical skills, explore career paths, and gain a deeper appreciation for the trades. Thank you to our dedicated staff and partners for making this event such a success! 🙌
