There will be a new face at Kenora Catholic's Boardroom table. Jeffrey White from Naotkamegwanning First Nation (Whitefish Bay) was appointed as the Board's new First Nation Trustee at the June 18th Board Meeting, where he signed his Solemn Declaration and Oath of Allegiance. White fills a six-year vacancy left by the former trustee who held the position from 2007 to 2013.

Julia Tkachuk Announced as Incoming Student Trustee

Board is proud to announce that Julia Tkachuk, Grade 10 student from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, is the Board's new junior student trustee for the 2019 – 2020 school year. She will be joining Clareynze Ceria at the Boardroom table who will assume the mentor role held by Dominique Novelli in 2018 - 2019. Ceria is Kenora Catholic's first student trustee to serve the Board for a two-year term. She will provide mentorship and support to Julia Tkachuk, in her position as student trustee during the 2019 -2020 school year.

Students of all ages have a blast at Street Fest

Students all the way from Grade 1 to 12 had a great time out in the sunshine at St. Thomas Aquinas High Schools' Street Fest on Thursday afternoon. The school arts department hosted the festival which includes live music, a BBQ, face-painting and the popular dunk tank.
