This program allows students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting their diploma requirements. It enables students to gain sector-specific skills and knowledge in career-related learning environments and helps them focus on graduation and on pursuing their post-secondary goals.
Each SHSM involves:

A series of bundled credits, designed to help students prepare for a career in a specific economic sector.

Sector-recognized certifications and training courses (like WHMIS, First Aid and CPR etc.).

Experiential learning opportunities (co-op).

"Reach Ahead" experiences connected with the student's selected post-secondary pathway.

Developing essential skills and work habits required by employers.
